
Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kasr Al Ainy Faculty of Medicine, was honored by the Egyptian Society of Endoscopic Surgery and Gynecology (ESEGO) during its 5th Annual International Congress, held in Cairo on July 9, 2026. The conference brought together a distinguished group of professors, experts, and specialists in women’s health, obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Badrawi was recognized during the conference’s Hall of Fame session as the Guest of Honor, in appreciation of his distinguished professional and academic career, as well as his longstanding contributions to medicine, medical education, healthcare development, and public thought.
In addition to receiving this honor, Dr. Badrawi chaired a specialized scientific session entitled “Predictive Perinatal Medicine: Decoding the Biological Clock to Predict and Prevent Preterm Labor.” The session explored the role of artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms in predicting and preventing preterm birth, highlighting the growing potential of data analytics and intelligent technologies to improve pregnancy outcomes, identify risk factors at an early stage, and support clinical decision-making.
Dr. Badrawi’s participation in the congress—both as an honoree and as the chair of a scientific session—reflects the combination of his extensive academic and clinical experience with his continuing interest in future-oriented medical challenges.
