Differences and differences in definitions
With a pen and a quill
Hossam Badrawi
Merely differing in the definition of a word, without knowing its origin, or submitting to an ideological or religious concept may lead to disasters, if the heart and mind do not have the capacity to understand first, and search behind the meanings and definitions of words second, before arriving at a basic conclusion that there is a difference or not, and I had I wrote an article in Al-Masry Al-Youm about the most misunderstood definitions
I mentioned three of them: enlightenment, liberalism, and secularism, and explained the differences and clarifications, as the name is not the most important element in stating the truth. If you gave the rose any other name, you would still smell its scent and see its beauty as it is… You must search for the meaning that the name means in your minds to give the words meaning. For example, I see the reality of Egyptian society as secular, liberal, and enlightened according to the definitions of the words in my mind and conscience, but the political Islam movement was able to give the words meanings other than the origin of their philosophy, so liberal, enlightened, secular, and civil all came to mean that whoever does not research is an atheist and an infidel. What is blatant is that the truth is the opposite… (The original article is in the barcode and the attached link for those who like to learn more: qrco.de/beacKV)
“You will see from all the definitions that the disagreements, infidelity, and attacks on those who talk about state civility, secularism, and liberalism are disagreements over the concept of political rule, and not over religion, for religion belongs to God and the homeland is for everyone.” ‏
Why do I open the same topic, because I found that what happened in occupied Palestine recently, and the massacre of fourteen thousand citizens in Gaza, most of whom were children, is a frightening and terrifying thing that shows what people are capable of without mercy or humanity. Added to this were facts that were confusing to understand and overlapping contradictions. These are Western governments led by the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany, and many European countries. They all support the ethnic extermination of an entire people and even provide Israel with money and weapons in spades, and at the same time they call for human rights. The contrast to this is the position of the peoples of these countries who came out in hundreds. Thousands demand an end to the massacre and extermination and the deportation of millions of Palestinians from their lands and homes after killing their youth and children, while their governments are doing the opposite. ‏
The second contradiction to the position of these governments was the position of thousands of Jews living in these countries who differentiated between Zionism and Judaism and stood in support of the Palestinian right, and I did not know of their quantitative or qualitative presence to such an extent..
The third contradiction was the position of some European governments and their retreat from absolute support for Israel, such as Belgium, Norway, Austria, and Switzerland, and some that unequivocally supported the right of the Palestinian people, such as Ireland.
The fourth contradiction was the position of the governments of many Arab and Islamic countries, which prevented popular demonstrations in support of Palestine, and their rulers did not even attend summit meetings to condemn the barbaric aggression against Gaza, which is a puzzling and confusing position.
Hamas leaders live in Qatar, which hosts the most important American military base… Hamas’ financing passes through Israeli banks… Hezbollah’s military funding and training is provided by Iran, and all Western human rights organizations close their eyes to the annihilation of fourteen dead Palestinians, most of them children, and the United States Stopping aid to Egypt for one political detainee, what is this!!???
All the famous Western media outlets have been exposed for their lies and bias, and have lost credibility before our eyes. Were it not for social media and the news leaks, we would not have known what is happening and the massacres that took place in Gaza.
Zionism, fascism, and anti-Semitism are three words and sentences that need to be defined so that we do not keep repeating them without understanding, without common meanings in our minds. Rather, some people take sharp political stances for or against what they do not even understand the meaning of. ‏
What occupied my mind as I searched through the references is that artificial intelligence is wrapped in political tendencies and is often not neutral. The definition of intelligence for Zionism has a fluidity that my mind did not accept.
Zionism is an ideological and political thought that calls for the establishment of a national homeland for a social religious group, the Jewish people. The Austrian Jew, Theodor Herzl, is considered the founder of political Zionism. The Zionist movement was founded in the late nineteenth century amid growing anti-Semitism in Europe
The founding of the State of Israel in 1948 is a direct result of the Zionist movement. ‏
A Jew is one who believes in the Jewish religion, while a Zionist holds a racist colonial ideology that believes in stealing Palestinian land, expelling or exterminating its indigenous population, and establishing settlement colonies there. Zionism is a colonial idea that believes in the purity of the race. It is an idea similar to the Nazi and fascist movements and practices the apartheid system in a way worse than the South African system, which makes me doubt the possibility of the one-state solution, which is the alternative to the two-state solution. Israel will not allow either of them unless it A Palestinian state completely devoid of rights
There was Jewish opposition to the Zionist movement, which sought to create a Jewish homeland, before the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. Now extremist Jewish groups, such as the Neturei Karta movement, which rejects Zionism, oppose the State of Israel, because they believe that the true Jewish state will only be established With the return of Christ…
Zionism represents a political project supported by a number of non-Jews, including Western governments and evangelical Christians in the United States, because it serves military purposes and control of the wealth of the Middle East.

As for fascism, it is a political and intellectual movement from the far right that appeared in Europe in the second decade of the twentieth century. It has a racist nationalist tendency that glorifies the state to the point of sanctification, and rejects the model of the civil state that has prevailed in Europe since the late nineteenth, based on traditional liberalism. Pluralist parliamentary democracy is a description of a radical form of military hegemony that does not allow opposition to the ruler. In the period between the two world wars, fascism reached a self-conscious intellectual form. Fascist movements sought to unify the nations that belonged to them through the totalitarian state, promoting collective action for the national community, and were characterized by movements aimed at reorganizing society according to principles consistent with fascist ideology.
Fascist movements shared common features that included reverence and prestige of the state, an intense love for a strong leader, and an emphasis on national and military fanaticism. Fascism sees political violence, war, and control over other nations as ways to achieve a national renaissance. Fascists acknowledge their vision that stronger nations have the right to extend their influence by displacing weaker nations
Finally, I came to another term that people use to deceive, known as anti-Semitism, or anti-Semitism. It is hostility, hatred or racism against the Jews as a racial, religious and ethnic group, that is, it is hostility towards the Jews and Judaism, and this is not true talk and the sentence does not convey the intended meaning in people’s minds.
The literal meaning of Semitic or the Semitic race includes Arabs, and in fact the vast majority of the children of Shem bin Noah are Arabs. After the flood, the descendants of the Arabian Peninsula (Hijaz, Yemen, and parts of Iraq) were linked to the eldest son of the Prophet Noah. Semitic, and the Arabic language is considered one of the most prominent Semitic languages. However, Semiticism is not limited to Arabs, but rather includes the Jews of the Arab region as well. But what is intended to be referred to by the term “anti-Semitism” does not intentionally include Arabs or Jews who trade in this idea.
Also, the Semites include other ethnicities, such as the Arameans, who inhabited central and northern Syria and the northwestern part of Mesopotamia in the twelfth and eighth centuries BC.
However, the term Semitic in European languages associates Semites with Jews and unites them. The Egyptian thinker and sociologist Abdel-Wahab El-Messiri believes in the second part of his book “The Encyclopedia of Jews, Judaism and Zionism,” that only Jews from the Arabian Peninsula are Semites. Like the Muslims and Christians of the Arabian Peninsula, which means that Jews of non-Arab ethnic origins are not Semites, as Semitism is linked to a race, not a religion.
But with the rise of Christianity in the Middle Ages in Europe, hostility to the Jews rose as they were considered a separate religious group that did not believe in Christ and refused to convert to Christianity, and even with the decline of Christianity in the eighteenth century with the Age of Enlightenment, hostility to the Jews continued, but as a lower-status ethnic and national group. An apartheid regime was established in Roman Catholic countries, and anti-Jewish political and religious movements increased under the slogans of “anti-Semitism.”
Hence, the term “anti-Semitism” was limited to “hatred of the Jews, and what I am surprised by is the linking of uncertain religious history to what is happening in the twenty-first century and the use of religion politically to achieve colonial purposes.
Look at the definitions, the origins of the words, and recognize the distortion of Western concepts. By definition, Israel is from a certain angle a fascist, racist, anti-Semitic state that does not respect human rights. However, new generations of Jews in Israel may say the same thing about Hamas, but they cannot say that. About the Palestinian people.
History has shown us that with proper leadership and wisdom, nothing stays the same. I believe that we can reach solutions between Palestinians and Israelis as a political conflict, not a religious one, if humanity becomes rational enough to understand that we can live together.
