
As part of the activities of the Women’s Association in Cairo, chaired by Ms. Lobna Reda, and during the association’s general meeting held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Dr. Hossam Badrawi delivered a distinguished intellectual lecture titled “Women of Light.”
The lecture addressed the contributions of a number of pioneering women throughout history who played a pivotal role in shaping human consciousness, such as the philosopher Hypatia and the pioneer of Arab journalism Rose El-Youssef, along with many other women who have personally influenced Dr. Badrawi. During the session, Dr. Badrawi highlighted how the ideas of these women challenged prevailing norms, inspired generations, and reshaped societal concepts.
This event is part of a series of activities aimed at promoting intellectual and cultural dialogue. Dr. Hossam Badrawi is known for his profound perspective that combines medical expertise with a humanistic vision, in addition to his strong interest in intellectual and social issues.
The lecture witnessed wide attendance from association members and those interested in cultural affairs, reflecting the importance of the topic in shedding light on the role of women in the course of human progress.
