The Future Library, established nearly two decades ago by the Takatof Association under the leadership of Dr. Hossam Badrawi, continues its role as a cultural beacon for children and youth. It remains open year-round, offering educational, artistic, and developmental activities that nurture creativity, build character, and promote a spirit of volunteerism.
On September 3rd, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, accompanied by Mrs. Mireille Nassim—the spirit of the association—together with the wonderful working team, children, and youth of the library, attended the closing ceremony of the 2025 summer activities. The event was held in the main hall of the association’s central student activities center in Agouza, with the participation of more than 150 children from the library’s community, along with their parents.
The celebration crowned a summer filled with cultural and artistic activities. The children presented their handicrafts and artworks, which reflected great talent and refined taste. The program featured a variety of performances, including singing, acting, and dance. Children performed classics of both old and modern art, staged short plays about human values such as cooperation and acceptance of others, and presented sketches about happiness, awareness, and supporting girls. The event also included folkloric performances and a remarkable show inspired by different civilizations—from Greece to South Africa to ancient Egypt—which captivated and engaged the audience.
The children excelled in their performances, even designing some segments themselves, reflecting their self-confidence and joy in participating. Smiles and delight filled the faces of parents and guests as they watched their children shine on stage in an atmosphere that blended art, culture, and patriotism.
At the invitation of Mrs. Mireille and Dr. Badrawi, the event was attended by the Ambassadors of Greece, H.E. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, and Romania, H.E. Olivia Toderean; Deputy Governor of Giza, Dr. Hend Abdel Halim; Ambassador Dr. Laila Baha El Din, CEO of Kemet Foundation; Mrs. Laila Iskandar, former Minister of Environment; Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities; and Dr. Hanem Omar, Director-General of the Childhood Administration at the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
It was a joyful celebration filled with happiness, with parents actively participating. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the children of the association and the library who contributed to the activities through supervision and training.
