Biography of Prof. Hossam Badrawi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Prof. Hossam Badrawi, a prominent physician and a well known politician, President of the Badrawi Foundation for Education and Development. He is the founder and the honorary chairman of the Egyptian Council of Competitiveness ENCC<\/em><\/strong>. http:\/\/www.encc.org.eg\/<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 and chaired the OB\/GYN department in Cairo University\u2019s Medical School 2009\/2010. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Academically<\/u><\/strong>, He graduated from Cairo University kasr El Aini 1974, with an honors degree. He fulfilled his graduate studies during 1979-1983 in Wayne State University-Detroit-Michigan, in the use of scanning electron microscopy. He completed post-graduate studies at North Western University-Chicago-Illinois .In Boston University-Boston-Massachusetts, he had intense \u00a0\u00a0graduate studies in methodologies for development of curricula and study programs in education. His academic activities include the publication of more than 120 research papers and participations in 8 text books in his academic field.<\/p>\n

He published 120 scientific papers and 7 books in his specialty and in education.\u00a0 Among the publications of Prof. Dr. Hossam Badrawi are the book \u201cEducation\u2026 The Opportunity to Rescue\u201d, the book \u201cAt Tomorrow’s Dreamers Caf\u00e9\u201d issued by Nahdet Misr Publishing House, \u201cDialogues with Youth for a New Republic\u201d and \u201c A Call To Think\u201d , both issued by the Egyptian Lebanese Publishing House , July 2022\u00a0 <\/em>and in 2023 he published his book\u00a0 \u201cMe & The mems\u201d issued by Dar El Mahrousa , Jan 2023.in 2024 he published 3 books ,\u201dDare to think\u201d issued by Dar El Maaref ,\u201dEgypt is in my heart\u201d issued by Dar El Mahrousa \u200e<\/em>and \u201cThe Chimera\u201d by Modern Arab Association for publishing.<\/p>\n

In 2025, he published the third edition of his book “Education: The Opportunity for Salvation” issued by the Egyptian \u200e Lebanese Publishing House, and a collection of short stories titled “Who Am I?” issued by Madbouly Publishing House.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Hossam is an artist, and he has more than 140 paintings. He published a literary book \u200econtaining a collection of his paintings under the name “Forgotten Romances”.\u200e<\/div>\n

In 2007, Prof. Badrawi received an honorary PhD<\/u>. in science from Sunderland University in the United Kingdom, for outstanding work in higher education reform in the Middle East region. He is a visiting Professor in political science in center of Altiero Spinelli at University of Roma.<\/p>\n

In 2014, Prof. Badrawi received a new award Honorary Fellowship <\/u><\/strong>from Cardiff University<\/p>\n

in the UK 2014.<\/p>\n

Politically<\/u><\/strong>, Prof Badrawi played an important central political role during the January revolution in Egypt. He was called for by the ex president of Egypt to chair the ruling party of Egypt NDP, on the 4th<\/sup> of February ,to save the situation, as he was always positively perceived by the political opposition and the society. He was known to be the opposition from inside and a true reformist. He announced his support to the revolution and\u00a0 resigned from the post 6 days after , when the ex president and his staff refused to listen to his political advice , to step down from presidency, and call for early presidential elections.<\/p>\n
