At the invitation of Dr. Hisham El-Gayar and in the presence of a number of distinguished figures, Dr. Hossam Badrawy attended today, Monday, February 26, 2023, in the L\u2019Etoile Hall at the Air Force House, a cultural salon under the title \u201cThe Egypt on My Mind.\u201d
\nThe audience warmly welcomed Dr. Hossam Badrawy
\nThey asked many questions about various issues that concern public opinion.
\nDr. Badrawi welcomed the audience and answered the questions, but he emphasized that any change does not occur with good intentions, but with a declared vision, efficient state management, and sustainability in implementation.
\nRegarding corruption, Dr. said: sword:
\nCorruption spreads if it continues for a period that allows it to benefit from it, which makes getting rid of it more difficult
\nIn order for us to eliminate corruption, we must identify its causes and identify its causes, most of which come from inefficient administrative systems, lack of salaries, and the filling of state agencies with unnecessary employees.
\nHe said that fighting corruption requires measuring indicators
\nNote that corruption is an impression and not a physical act, so it then becomes a crime subject to the authority of the law
\nThe current situation requires reconsidering all state priorities
\nRaising the ceiling of freedoms to accommodate all opinions and promote pluralism and differences of opinion.
\nDr. Badrawi spoke about the Eradah initiative, which he started with the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council in 2008. The goal was to remove 50% of the obstacles in the various ministries in a specific time. This initiative was unfortunately not sustainable and stopped after 2011.
\nThen the dialogue moved to education as the most important supporter and enhancer of the state\u2019s internal strength, which represents the striking force in the development of society.
\nHe added that Egypt’s vision for education still suffers from the lack of effective steps to implement it
\nDr. Badrawi then gave a detailed presentation of Egypt’s vision and how it must be marketed properly, and the reasons for its lack of progress. He stated that each governorate can easily determine its needs in the future and what it needs, and this is the essence of decentralization stipulated in the constitution.
\nHe stressed that education aims to build character, and character building does not depend on a curriculum, but on living with the basis of education, which is the teacher and the school administration.
\nDr. pointed out. Hossam said that the task of building personality is not carried out by the Ministry of Education alone, but it must be accompanied by the Ministry of Youth, Information and Culture. The goal between them is common and they must be integrated to serve one file, which is building personality.
\nDr. Badrawi then spoke about Egypt’s wealth
\nThe state possesses all the ingredients to be a great state.
\nThen he talked about his article published in Al-Masry Al-Youm, \u201cToo much is a deficiency,\u201d and stated that exaggerating matters may diminish their effectiveness and care.
\nThen Dr. Badrawi continued his talk on the topic of the symposium, \u201cThe Egypt in My Mind,\u201d to conclude his interesting speech by saying that the Egypt in his mind is a great country and the Egyptian nation has its components, and he expressed his dream and vision.
\nFor the people of Egypt to see the future as happy and friendly…and to see our children and youth being innovative and creative with freedom, and the people of Egypt living spread across its geography, perpetuating its deserts, preserving its heritage…
\nAnd the end of poverty, in wealth and in thought, and the re-flourishment of art. He expressed his hope that music would return to clean streets, that tourism would flourish, and that Egypt would be integrated with Africa and the world… and that Egypt\u2019s youth would have hope, aspire to happiness, use modern technologies and be clothed with the values of freedom. Honesty, honesty, integrity, accuracy, competence, tolerance, and citizenship, adhering to truth, beauty, and respect for others who are different.
\nHe wondered if it could be achieved!!! He stated that what we need is greater efficiency in managing the state, efficiency that must not be compromised, choosing for the best, periodically renewing bloodshed, respect for science and scholars, and raising the ceiling of dreams.

He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court. He was against extending the state of emergency and objected to the National Democratic Party's unilateral constitutional amendments during the January 25, 2011 revolution. He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court.
