The Life We Inhabit<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cIn the womb of silence, unseen creatures sing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deep within the body, in the shadows of the intestines, lives another unseen life\u2014yet one essential to our existence. We are not alone. Within every human body exists an entire universe of microscopic beings\u2014bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa\u2014collectively known as the gut microbiome.<\/p>\n

This vibrant world contains more cells than the human body itself\u2014an estimated 40 trillion microorganisms residing in our digestive system, performing functions we cannot accomplish alone: digesting fiber, producing vitamins, regulating immunity, protecting the intestinal lining, and even producing chemicals that affect the brain, such as serotonin\u2014forming what is known as the gut\u2013brain axis.<\/p>\n

What makes these tiny organisms \u201cinhabitants\u201d rather than \u201cinvaders\u201d is their finely balanced symbiosis with us\u2014a biological, unwritten contract based on cooperation and equilibrium. They ask only for a healthy internal environment, balanced nutrition, and a measure of calm. In return, we cannot live without them.<\/p>\n

\n

What Are We Made Of?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The human body contains more than fifty trillion living cells that interact, grow, reproduce, and renew themselves in life cycles, all originating from stem cells capable of transforming into whatever the body requires.<\/p>\n

And what is each of these fifty trillion cells made of?
A membrane, cytoplasm, specialized organelles, a nucleus and nucleolus, electrons, protons, and neutrons\u2014which themselves are composed of quarks made of vibrating strings, perceived as both matter and energy.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, we are energy.<\/p>\n

\n

A Dialogue Between Cells<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I imagined a tiny cell inside a human body speaking to its neighbor. It sees nothing beyond its narrow cellular surroundings. It breathes, divides, performs its function\u2014living among trillions of others.<\/p>\n

Suddenly, it discovers that it is part of a larger organic tissue, embedded in a vast system of arteries, heart, brain\u2014a whole body.<\/p>\n

It realizes, in awe, that this body moves, thinks, loves, and suffers\u2014that it is alive.<\/p>\n

And it wonders:
How did we not know?
How did we not realize we were inside a living entity millions of times greater than us?<\/p>\n

Is it not possible\u2014indeed likely\u2014that we humans are like this cell\u2026
Tiny beings on the surface of a small planet, in one galaxy among hundreds of billions, within a colossal living cosmic entity we do not yet comprehend?<\/p>\n

When humans gaze at the sky, does it not occur to them that this immense universe is not merely emptiness, rocks, and stardust\u2014but a living, pulsing, conscious being of which we are but tiny cells?<\/p>\n

\n

Is the Universe Alive and Conscious?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Is it possible that the universe is alive? That it is conscious?<\/p>\n

This question may seem fantastical or beyond conventional scientific thought, yet it has accompanied humanity since the dawn of awareness\u2014when humans first looked up at the stars and asked: Who am I? What is this existence surrounding me?<\/p>\n

Is our consciousness a coincidence, or a window through which existence observes itself?<\/p>\n

\n

A Dialogue Between Twins in the Womb<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I once read a book by Dr. Wayne Dyer and recount\u2014paraphrased\u2014a dialogue between two unborn twins in their mother\u2019s womb.<\/p>\n

One asks:
\u201cDo you believe there is life after birth?\u201d<\/p>\n

The other replies:
\u201cPerhaps we are here to prepare for what we will become.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first scoffs:
\u201cNonsense. There is no life after birth. What kind of life would that be?\u201d<\/p>\n

The second says:
\u201cMaybe we will walk with our legs and eat with our mouths. I don\u2019t know exactly, but there will be more light than here\u2014and perhaps new senses we do not yet understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first laughs:
\u201cWalking is impossible. Eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord provides everything. And it\u2019s too short\u2014so life after birth is impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second insists:
\u201cPerhaps we won\u2019t need the cord. I believe something else exists\u2014something different from what we know now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first says:
\u201cIf there were life after birth, why has no one returned from it? Birth is the end\u2014after that, only darkness and silence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second replies calmly:
\u201cI don\u2019t know, but I believe we will meet our mother\u2014and she will care for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first mocks:
\u201cA mother? Where is she?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is all around us,\u201d says the second. \u201cWe are within her. Without her, this world would not exist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see her,\u201d says the first. \u201cSo logically, she doesn\u2019t exist.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second replies:
\u201cSometimes, when you are quiet and listen, you can feel her presence and hear her loving voice calling us from above.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Trillions of bacteria inside a body made of trillions of cells.
Billions of humans on a planet among billions of galaxies, with trillions of stars, in an infinite universe.<\/p>\n

Everything is part of something. The whole is alive. All coexist so that others may live.<\/p>\n

Everything is matter and energy at once.

He was against extending the state of emergency and objected to the National Democratic Party's unilateral constitutional amendments during the January 25, 2011 revolution. He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court. He was against extending the state of emergency and objected to the National Democratic Party's unilateral constitutional amendments during the January 25, 2011 revolution. He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court.
