Dr. Badrawi writes: My daughter is my idol again

Once again, I say, that my daughter is my idol, contrary to what people expect from fathers as an example to sons
When she developed type 1 diabetes at the age of twenty-eight, I wrote a similar post about her when I saw her courage and perseverance in resisting the disease positively and supporting everyone who suffers from it, especially children and their families.
And months ago, in an international competition in Barcelona in the sport of crossfit, she had an accident in which her shoulder joint was dislocated, and it is a matter for those who know that it may affect those who have it negatively, so what about those who suffer from diabetes.
My heart fell for fear of her, but my faith in her and my confidence in her determination to overcome challenges did not.
In the heart of the father was pain and fear, and in the mind of the father’s soul was trust and hope.
After this ridiculous accident, Dalia did not give up and faced the injury and treated it with determination. And here is Dalia Badrawi, the mother of three, climbing the mountains of Spain again after the mountains of Russia, finishing the Paris Marathon and the hard sports triathlon in Sahl Hasheesh, and her practice of CrossFit on a global level, defying diabetes, carrying an insulin pump. And she says to every patient with this incurable disease, yes, we can rise to the top of life despite illness and emergencies, with will, science, knowledge, and family support.
Dr. Osama Hamdi, professor of diabetes and head of the Joslin Center, Harvard University, the largest treatment research center for this disease in the world, says Dalia is a model and role model to challenge this disease in the world, and announces that her artificial pancreas has reached the center to support her in spreading the culture of adaptation and positive coexistence and overcoming a disease that lives with a person throughout his life.
Gibran Khalil Gibran says:
Your children, what are your children?
Created by the nostalgia of life for itself
Don’t try to make them like you
But try to be like them
Life does not go backwards”

I publish this post not as an expression of my pride in my daughter, but to send a message to every diabetic and their number in Egypt, if you know, is terrifying (about 8 million including a large number of children and youth)
My message says do not give in to the disease, live your life and learn to adapt to the needs of your body with science, knowledge and training. There is no challenge that a person cannot overcome.
