At the invitation of the Federation of Young Workers, chaired by Mr. Abdel Aziz Samir, Dr. Hossam Badrawi participated on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the federation’s headquarters, in the closing ceremony of the activities of the Chefs Committee for People with Disabilities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Abdel Aziz Samir presented to Dr. Badrawi an overview of the efforts exerted over the past year and the tangible positive impact achieved by the initiative. For his part, Dr. Badrawi expressed great pleasure at what he had seen, emphasizing the importance of relying on clear standards and scientific tools to measure success rates in various initiatives, enabling achievements to be documented and presented accurately and objectively. He noted that artificial intelligence has become an effective tool that can be employed in this field due to its advanced analytical capabilities.
Before the start of the ceremony, Dr. Badrawi met with several organizers of the activity, as well as some of the chefs from among people with disabilities. A rich and deeply human dialogue took place with one of the program’s supervisors, who explained that the goal is not limited to training children in cooking, but rather focuses on building character, enhancing self-confidence, and developing a sense of self through excellence. She also explained how children are embraced in their early stages, how their ability to rely on themselves is assessed, along with their physical and mental capacities, and outlined the stages of gradual development from the beginning to reaching a personality capable of self-development and independence.
After that, the organizers accompanied Dr. Badrawi to the chefs’ room, where he met the participating children with disabilities in a strikingly human scene. The children’s faces reflected feelings of affection, love, and belonging to the place—something that was clearly evident in Dr. Badrawi, who was overwhelmed with happiness and joy by this sincere interaction.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Badrawi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the living examples of humanity, sincere work, and unconditional effort that he had witnessed, affirming that this initiative represents an honorable model of what society can offer its children with disabilities. He also extended his thanks to Mr. Abdel Aziz Samir, Chairman of the Federation, for his continuous support and encouragement of those running the activity, noting that the feelings of affection and appreciation he sensed from everyone reflected the sincerity of human relationships and the spirit of collective work.
Dr. Badrawi then opened the floor for discussion with the attendees about the federation’s various activities, addressing topics related to values and their role in building individuals, Egypt and its youth, and the importance of keeping pace with technological progress and investing it in skill development and self-building. The discussion was interactive, reflecting the awareness and sophistication of the participants’ ideas.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Hossam Badrawi presented certificates of appreciation to the honorees, amid an enthusiastic atmosphere filled with warmth and mutual respect.
