The rise of the soul
between power, wealth, and sex
The young man said: What do you think, Doctor, about the debate on social media about the series “Bilou’ al-Rooh” and other series that discuss the constants in religion, and do thinkers and authors have the right to open the doors of discussion that may lead to doubt and then atheism?
His colleague said: Your question, my colleague, confuses freedom of expression with what people think are constants… So what are these constants? ?
A third young man said: As you taught us, doctor, things and words must be defined before we disagree about them and about them.
I said: Let’s know the words and then discuss the question and the series that angered some and admired others, but that comments on it need a societal discussion..
First: What are the constants in religion, and where does the disagreement lie???
Some, including myself, believe that there are constants common to all monotheistic and non-celestial religions. In particular, the call to good morals, good dealings with others, mercy, chivalry, honesty and trustworthiness, justice and fairness, love and doing good, respecting and giving priority to one’s parents.
All religions share the importance of communicating with the Creator, in different forms of prayer, for the same goal, which is to purify the soul from evils, and to remind people of all that is good in the universe, and all that is within every human being of good morals that build humanity and connect each one with the Creator and the creatures.
The smart young woman said: What do you say about constants said by those who know religion in a time other than ours? Considering the hadiths transmitted from the Messenger, peace be upon him, and what the imams of religion said, that they are constants that complement what was revealed in the Qur’an.
I said: What is proven to me is that the Qur’an does not need a supplement, “This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion [Al-Ma’idah:3].”
There is no deficiency in what God has revealed that requires completion.
But the interpretation of his verses differs from time to time, which is what makes him useful for every time, and it is not constants, in my belief, that interpretations of the verses were not with the knowledge and knowledge that we have, and the ability has expanded over the years with knowledge, knowledge and experience.
As for the hadiths about the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, they overlapped in their transmission (which was written nearly two hundred years after his death), human desires and demands for power, and I tend to believe only what is compatible with a normal soul, and what is dictated by my knowledge of the beauty and humanity of our master Muhammad, and I exclude what It does not agree with his personality or what is in the Qur’an. And the Sunnah for me is what those who lived at the time of the message saw and narrated from the actions of the Messenger, and not what was reported from him hundreds of years after his death.
As for the imams and commentators, thanks to them for their efforts at the time, but we are not required to sanctify what they said, no matter how wise it may be. The Islamic religion is a religion that does not know fortune-telling, and does not mediate in it the priests and priests between the creature and the Creator, and does not impose on man an offering that he strives to reach the sanctuary with intercession, from A ruler is authoritarian or possessing holiness. There is no interpreter in it between God and His servants who has the power of prohibition and permission, and decrees salvation or deprivation, and the discourse of this great religion will not be directed – intuitively – except to the sane person who is free, free from every authority that prevents him from correct understanding and sound thinking.
The biggest barriers that impede the mind are the worship of the predecessors, and the blind imitation of those with religious authority.
And I imagine that self-realization with the mind is the ability of man that God willed for him, and by which he distinguishes him from the rest of his creation.
Reason and thinking are the miracle of creation in us, so how can some try to abolish them and not allow their use out of fear for religion and the beliefs of the predecessors, as if Islam needs protection from those who think and as if the words of the predecessors have the same sanctity as the Qur’an. .
Therefore, God has repeated the word of reason, thinking, knowledge and scholars in His Qur’an. He did not even perform physical miracles for His Messenger, as was the case with the prophets who preceded him, and as people asked him at the beginning of the message.
They asked him for miracles, or for him to ascend to God, or for the book to be revealed to them from him, so he replied, saying: I am only a human being like you.
You ascended to the heavens, and we will not believe in your ascension until you send down a book for us that we will read. Say, Glory be to my Lord.
The first young man said: So you see that the use of reason and thinking is one of the constants of religion..
I said: Yes, one of the constants of life and respect for the Creator.
He said: So what do you think of the series that sparked controversy?
I said: I will discuss it with you from different approaches. The first is the technical aspect, from directing, acting, filming, etc. From this perspective, it deserves admiration and appreciation.
The next entry: It is the origin of the story and the extent of its truthfulness in conveying the reality that was in “Raqqa” in which the Caliphate state was represented.. Here, I appreciate the artistic side that took care of the viewer, and avoided disturbing him, with the reality of violence, killing and beheading that was happening in reality for everyone Who disagrees with the leaders of ISIS in this place and at this time.. The series, as friends from Iraq and Syria told me, was kind to the viewers because the reality was worse than what we saw..
The third entry: about the caliphate state, in “Raqqa”, which may not be noticed by the ordinary viewer.. The society that the series tells about is not a productive society. I did not see farmers, workers, or factories, but rather all are soldiers and warriors, so where does the wealth of this society come from, and how They get all these weapons and these bombs?? And this gear. and who buy it??
Doesn’t that raise a question about the financiers of this trend in this way!!!
The fourth entry: is the form of Islamic society
