From chaos to stability

From chaos to stability
Following the outbreak of the “Arab Autumn” (!) revolutions in 2011; And successively the fall of the ruling papers in the region; The violent storms of the Muslim Brotherhood uprooted the roots of modern civilization – by arranging and financing Western intelligence services – in addition to dyeing societies in their grim, harsh, dull color, incapable of any pluralism.. Egypt stood alone with its people, army and institutions in the face of a challenge: Either stay in a permanent autumn in Incompetent authoritarian religious rule remained, or the hope of moving to a real “spring” in which the light of the future would shine, during which freedoms would flourish, and the rights of citizens would be respected, and the country would be stable and grow socially, culturally, and economically.
This is how I began my conversation with the youth of the dreamers of tomorrow and those working for it, on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of the movement of the Egyptian people on June 30, in what is considered a historical precedent with a specific time to lift the burden of a ruling that does not correspond to the nature of Egypt, its people and its history… However, I found myself facing many of their questions that brought us in. In a serious dialogue, although sometimes sharp!!.
A young doctor said: With all due respect to what Dr. Hossam.. But have we really moved on to that spring, or not yet?!
Before I answered him, a young woman much older than him said: I am with you, Doctor, that Egypt has stood steadfast in the face of the winds of religious fanaticism..but (!) Sometimes we feel that there is no room for tolerance with us and for us?!.
I said: At first, as you know..you will not find someone more than me who seeks liberties, and my position is known to you in the past and in the future! But..at the same time, you will not find anyone more than me who knows the meaning of the social and political chaos that leads to the collapse of nations and civilizations! After the removal of the Brotherhood and the passage of three years of stagnation, the halting of development and the collapse of services; Also, after the return of inflation in the number of government employees as a result of the pressures of the mobs and the demagogues and the hypocrisy of the fragile ruling circles of the masses in order to seek their satisfaction or to avoid their chaos (!), as well as after the reduction of the development rate to nearly zero; Returning to a rise in population growth to approach 3%, after efforts had succeeded in reducing it to about 2%; Also, after the closure of many factories and companies, and the Egyptian left’s attack on the private sector by raising banners for the return of the public sector, which had previously destroyed the country, following the occurrence of most of these negatives.. Egypt alone came out of this predicament, thanks to a conscious national leadership that faced internal terrorism. From fanatic groups claiming religiosity in Sinai and Upper Egypt; And another, externally, from an enemy lurking from the east, armies being amassed in Libya to the west, and a Sudanese Brotherhood regime that is hostile to the Egyptian people and their governments in the south, before it is also removed, so that the two countries return and approach each other again. In addition to this, Hamas, which participated in the chaos of 2011, fuels terrorism in North Sinai, and in fact agrees with Egypt’s civilized opponent, “Israel” in its hostility to Egypt! There is also a waiting list from the international community, whether by preventing tourism or opening doors and windows. For everyone who attacks a regime brought by the masses of the people of their own free will! Then the greatest danger came from the south of the south… in Ethiopia’s intransigence and its threat to the lifeline of Egypt! We are also facing a health pandemic that the world has never known before!
Do you imagine a rule in such circumstances that leaves freedoms unchecked or bound and provides an opportunity for those who want to drive a wedge between members of society, Muslims and Christians, and to divide this one people into feuding sects that will lead them to division, hatred and chaos?!
I understand very well the value of the iron hand for implementing infrastructure projects… such as roads, tunnels, bridges, lining canals, expanding the Suez Canal course, and establishing new cities. I also understand what might take the appearance of acrimony in the state’s approach to preventing corruption and collecting taxes. I also cannot deny that there is economic development that has reached nearly 5%, and that the infrastructure is now more ready to raise the efficiency of the Egyptian economy.
Indeed, the scale of construction and infrastructure development deserves a hat.
We have to be fully aware and aware that all of this would have happened if we had been preoccupied with internal disputes and conflicts that would inevitably and inevitably have arisen within a political vacuum that was not filled by civil parties. And funding to overthrow the regime, with no alternative but the Muslim Brotherhood – unfortunately – in which some of these organizations participated!
Yes.. I understand, and you must also understand: that we are still in a transitional phase that requires firmness and decisiveness.. However, it is certain that after that there will be a breakthrough for the spring, as you dream. There is a lot of education and training that the country needs, as well as the need to jump over the chasm of poverty and ignorance, to move to a democracy that is governed by complete justice and education without discrimination for all.
Another young man asked: Seven years have passed since the Brotherhood’s rule was abolished… Isn’t that enough?!
I told him: Take back what I just told you!! The size and strength of pressure on Egypt was and still is very great with the aim of dismantling it! And the period of seven years is not more than a moment in the life of history! And when you work a lot, you also make a lot of mistakes! We must all comprehend the mistakes and not exaggerate and exaggerate them so as not to spread anger in the souls and create negative energy in the country. I have full confidence in Egypt’s leadership, its courage in facing dangers, and its ability to absorb constructive criticism.
We, young people, have a lot of work ahead of us to achieve sustainable development, not just momentary breakthroughs.
His colleague asked: What about the Renaissance Dam, doctor?! What is your analysis of the situation?
I said: Since it is not possible for me to see the documents or documents that enable me to express an opinion based on facts, but as a citizen who studies and always searches for the truth, I am fully aware that the idea of a state controlling the source of life for another is a totally rejected principle, and it cannot be allowed with it.
I certainly believe that this crisis is the largest and most dangerous in the history of Egypt! I am also completely confident that the construction of that dam is not a development issue, as Ethiopia claims.. Rather, it is a political issue for it
It has the power to put forth an illusion that it is the only owner of the river’s water, from which a large amount of it flows from its lands, as it falsely promotes that the river is not an international river shared by all the countries it passes through, from the source to the estuary!!!, and perhaps this issue has other dimensions related to the cohesion of society The Ethiopian is multi-ethnic and demographic, as Ethiopia always tries to create an external enemy, whether real or artificial, to mobilize this multi-society around the political system, whatever its differences, as we have known it in recent decades!
The Ethiopian leadership portrays the matter to its people as a holy and fateful war.. which makes us view the dispute as a comprehensive and multi-dimensional battle, not a traditional negotiation based on the principles of normal friendly relations between countries. In this type of negotiation, hundreds of legal arguments that are presented do not matter. Rather, it is necessary to rely to a large extent on tactics and tools of pressure in negotiation, which may end with limited or even extensive military actions, in preparation for the resumption of negotiations. And I think Egypt is doing this now on multiple levels.
The Egyptian interior should be the main source of support for the Egyptian negotiator. In addition, the Egyptian public opinion should see the world as a pressure force in the direction of the principles of justice and truth that we must be aware of.
I see that the Ethiopian party will not modify its behavior! Therefore, the question is repeated about the possibilities of war, or in other words: the compulsory pressure that it seems to everyone that Ethiopia is seeking to in one way or another…perhaps once again to cover up the engineering mistakes it committed in building the dam, or to gather the multi-ethnic people behind the ruling authority!!
We cannot also fail to see that the international position is weak towards such a crucial issue!! I do not rule out hostile Israeli targets, nor do I rule out the connection between the events since 2011 until now… and that there is an attempt to push Egypt towards a military solution.
This reminds me of Egypt’s involvement in the Yemen war in the sixties of the last century, and then in the war of 67.. Although Egypt’s motives today differ from their motives at the time!! Therefore, I am from outside the decision-making circle of great concern! The crisis is taking place from a far-sightedness, and therefore the people must trust and support the country’s leadership and support it in this defining moment of the present, which will make a new history for Egypt and the region alike.
